Doctors, smokers, etc.: QUESTION ABOUT SMOKING!?
I'm sixteen years old, and I've only smoked hookah five times in my life as of early last August. I've decided to quit as of today. Two times I smoked with tobacco, the other three were tea bags and sometimes honey. Today, however, when I smoked, I prepared the tin foil at the top very bad, and many pieces of charcoal fell into the tobacco-holder, stem, etc. Some of it, I assume, turned to tar. I inhaled from this about ten or eleven times, until i actually inhaled a piece of charcoal and stopped smoking. What are the health risks from this, and realistically speaking, do I have anything to worry about if I stop right now? I've never smoked anything else before, ever! Thank you.
As of early this August*
Also, what are the risks associated with the tar??
The lungs are an amazing organ. They start to repair themselves in smokers (long time tobacco smokers) immediately after they quit. I very seriously doubt you've done any damage in your young life that they can't repair, but I'm very glad you've decided to quit. Finding yourself breathless should be caused by love, not by pollutants...
