1. Outer non-luminous flame
-outermost region of a flame
-yellow to orange in color
-there is incomplete combustion in this part so it produces soot(carbon)
2. The tip(on top)of the inner blue flame
-this is the hottest region
3. Inner blue flame (non-luminous flame)
-blue flame has sufficient O2 so that there's complete combustion
it does not produce soot
