Non-locking pocketknife?
I'm looking for a non-locking stainless steel pocket knife. My father is very traditional and hates folding knives that once they lock to open. I want to buy him a new one because the one he has now is like 15 years old and really beaten up, but he just as it locks or it is not stainless steel. Until now, all the shops around here sell those lock .. or the small shops selling cheap but they are those who do not stainless steel. Also, I searched eBay and Amazon and are difficult to tell whether or not the lock. Is there a proper term for those who dont lock once opened? Any help would be greatly appreciated, but please dont bother posting to tell me that the non-locking blades are unsafe.
The kind of knife you are looking for can be referred to as "frictional folder "or" friction folding "knives as the blade is held in place in the open position only by friction of the hinge. Do you find by googling a few manufacturers "Friction folder" Not sure if that's what you want, give a google search and see if the results are what you seek.
