Best hookah setup? Tinfoil + charcoal?
I was wondering what the best way to enjoy a hookah would be. I cleaned mine recently and got some fresh tobacco (haven't used it in a while) and i didn't know what is best. I have a metal (i think stainless steel) bowl because it was a cheap replacement for the clay or stone one that broke. Is that a bad replacement? Also i use tinfoil with holes poked in it and a self sustaining (trois mages) coal that rests on top. Is that the best way to go about smoking the ol' hookah? i noticed the longer i smoked it, the harsher the smoke seemed. Is that normal? Thanks guys.

yea your setup seems cool. the stainless steel bowl wouldnt make a difference because if its true stainless steel it would cause no effect to the flavor of the tobacco. as fa ras foil thats okay also but it tranfers the heat from coals alot easier,which usually causes tobacco to burn quicker (causes harsh smoke).You can buy a stainless steel lid to use as a cover instead of foil.Im assuming u use instant light coals IMO those suck best coals are mesquite wood, yea its a hassle to get them lit but once lit they stay hot longer than the instants and they dont have that nasty taste. And as far as tobacco go with Fantasia thats my fav, Starbuzz or Fusion
