Hi, I just got back from Nicaragua i have a pending case over there my luggage, shoes and wallet where taken?
along with my watch as i left the Managua airport. I made a police report and no one called me while i stayed at a home that the authorities where able to find for me until it was time to come back home. What can i do from washington? Ireally want justice I am an American and I was just meeting somebody there for 15 minutes then i was going to go back in the airport and leave for panama my final destination. What can i do? I had expensive jewelry in my luggage a laptop money my cards etc...

There is nothing that you can do in Panama except to go to the Embassy of Nicaragua that is in Panama and try your very best to explain to them that everything was taken.
Here are some tips that I am going to give to you:
1. Never flash your money around.
2. Never place your wallet in the back pocket of your pants.
3. Never travel alone.
4. Never leave your belongings unattended.
5. Safekeep your money by placing it in your front pocket
6. Constantly try to travel with a companion (preferible your wife )
7. Always keep an eye on your belongings (it does includes your laptop computer)
