How do I know if a cigar lighter is windproof?
I am looking for a cigar lighter to buy for my husband. He would like a windproof lighter. When I go to the sites some indicate windproof while others do not. I went to a store and the lady informed me all the lighters they carry are windproof. I ended up buying one and then found it online - it did not specify that it was windproof. It has a double jet flame. Thanks.
The jet flame lighters, where it's like a thin blue flame, are windproof. So are traditional Zippos and Zippo Blu. It's mostly just standard issue cheap lighters with a simple flint and flame that aren't.
